Heart Rate Tracking and Leaderboards for Gyms and Studios

Commercial ANT+, Bluetooth and Apple Watch receivers that put every member on the board

NPE receivers pick up heart rate and sensor data from every member in the room, whether they wear a chest strap, an armband or an Apple Watch, and send it over your network to your leaderboard, class display or software. They work with leading group training platforms or with your own app through the NPE API.

How it works

  1. 1

Members wear what they already own

Any standard ANT+ or Bluetooth heart rate monitor works. Members with an Apple Watch use the heartbeatz Connect Pro app, so they don't need a separate strap.

  2. 2

    NPE receivers cover the room

GEM3-PoE and WASP-PoE4 receivers each handle 60+ sensors at once, are powered over Ethernet and mount in a standard junction box. Add more receivers to cover larger spaces.

  3. 3

    Data flows to your leaderboard

Receivers send data over your network to platforms such as Swarm and HeartZones, or to your own software through the NPE API for .NET, iOS and macOS. See all supported systems on our Integrations page.

  4. 4

    Pair members in seconds

The Pairing Pod reads the ANT+ ID of a member's sensor so staff can assign it to the right person on the leaderboard without guesswork.

Gym and studio FAQ

How many members can one receiver track?

GEM3-PoE and WASP-PoE4 each communicate with 60+ sensors at the same time. Larger facilities add receivers, and members are picked up by whichever receiver is closest as they move through the space.

Can members use an Apple Watch instead of a chest strap?

Yes. With the heartbeatz Connect Pro app, GEM3-PoE connects up to 15 Apple Watches per radio directly, and HÛBB adds up to 15 Apple Watches to an existing WASP system. Learn more about heartbeatz.

Which leaderboard software works with NPE receivers?

NPE receivers power platforms including Swarm and HeartZones. Developers can also build their own leaderboard with the NPE API for .NET, iOS and macOS. See the full list on our Integrations page.

How are receivers installed?

GEM3-PoE and WASP-PoE4 are powered over your Ethernet network and mount in a standard junction box behind a double wall plate, such as our White Dual Gang Box.

Can I change the radio configuration?

Yes. Note the configuration you need when you order, or contact us to discuss your setup.
